Nobel Lecture
Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991 for his nonviolent struggle for democracy and human rights in Myanmar (Burma). Her husband and two sons, accepted the award on her behalf since she herself was under house arrest. This situation made it natural enough also impossible for Suu Kyi to keep the traditional Nobel lecture.
